Our Mission 

            We are a company with generations of professional knife sharpening experience. In the late 1800’s my great-grand father came to New York from Italy. Using his pushcart to go to restaurants, butcher shops, and institutions, he professionally sharpened their knives. Over the years our family of grinders have developed high tech machines to hollow grind and put a razor sharp honed edge on professional knives. In the late 1950’s Angelo Povinelli started the professional knife service program, where we supply any type or style of knives needed free of charge, and we are paid to sharpen them weekly or biweekly. We still carry on this tradition today. Our service provides you with the type or style of knives you need, and we exchange them with a sharp, new set weekly of biweekly for a small fee. We also sharpen all your food processing equipment, such as slicing machine blades, meat grinder plates and blades, lettuce shredders, tomato slicers, etc. Many families of grinders carry out this program, along with high tech sharpening, all across the United States.
